Why the General Studies Degree?  Many Graduates hold college degrees in many Majors and are out of work.  What the General Studies Associates Degree does for the graduate is provide them with a College Degree that touches in many areas of online learning.  The General Studies Associate can be proven to open doors for the Graduate because it is not just narrowed down to one mode of learning; For example, it can be viewed as having a little bit of everything into one College Degree.

Today many employers and Human Resource Managers turn people away from a job because the prospective hiree for hire has a College Degree in a Major that is not related to the job they are trying to obtain employment from.  Yet, the General Studies Degree is a Degree which Human Resource Managers will more than likely open the door to employment because of the type of Degree held by the student.  The General Studies Degree can be viewed as knowing a little of everything on the Transcript, and the prospective employer will see a Graduate
with this type of Degree as more capable due to diversity in the education.
